Our Stories

The road that brought us here

A few memories from the beginning, the in-between, and the moment we decided to build our life together.

Where It All Began

It all began in Chicago, where we both walked across the same graduation stage in the same year, without ever crossing paths. Maybe fate was already at work. Life then brought us both to Boston, one of us for work and the other to keep studying. We both loved spending time in the library, and one day, on Harvard's campus, that is exactly where we found each other. Just like that, everything changed.

Into the Rapids

Our first trip together was white-water rafting in Maine with a group of friends. The river was wild and the current was strong. Somewhere in all that rushing water, we held on tight, and we never really let go.

The Treehouse

Nowhere Else to Be

When city life felt like too much, we would just pack up and go. One winter, we stayed in a handcrafted treehouse deep in a quiet forest. He built a fire, we grilled outside, laughed a lot, and simply enjoyed being together with nowhere else to be. In that stillness, it felt like the whole world had shrunk down to just the two of us.

Braver Together

In Hawaii, we walked across ancient lava fields, night-dived with manta rays, and island-hopped under open skies. We found that with each other, we were brave enough to try things we never would have done alone. There is a quiet sense of safety in being together.

New Mexico

Just Between Us

And because we both loved Breaking Bad a little too much, we took a trip to New Mexico, quoting lines only we would understand and laughing at jokes only we could explain. It is in these moments, big and small, that we have grown to know each other more deeply and to cherish each other even more.

Our Everyday

Back home in Boston, our everyday life is just as full. On weekends, we lace up and run wherever the city takes us, sometimes for two hours or more. We never listen to podcasts on these runs, because he said he wants to talk, and that he can be my podcast. Honestly, he is not wrong. Sometimes we end up in Little Italy, catching our breath over a tiramisu that probably cancels out everything we just burned. We train together too, and nothing feels better than having someone right there beside you, cheering on every small win.

Happy Everyday

We Celebrate Everything

We celebrate everything, from anniversaries and milestones to even the most ordinary Tuesdays, with a cake that reads "Happy Everyday." We bring out the silly and playful sides of each other while being each other's biggest supporters. And the thing people say most when they see us? "You two are so alike."

Then one day, he brought her back to the place of our very first date, and asked the most important question he had ever asked.

Will you marry me?

She will never forget the warm Boston sun, the breeze through Boston Common, the nervous hands, the happy tears, and the feeling of stepping toward a future we were both so ready for.
